A brilliant bargain at the beautiful BSpa in Brooklands Hotel, Wybridge
What words spring to mind when you think “spa day?”
Luxury?
Treat?
Expensive?
Yep, I’ve definitely thought all of those things. But what if I told you that you can have the first two without waking up at night worrying you need to take out a second mortgage?! That’s exactly what you can have at BSpa at Brooklands Hotel, Weybridge.

FACILITIES
Sunlight Therapy Room (after initial scepticism, my friend Megan and I genuinely started to believe that we were on holiday in the Bahamas! The cocktails we had in this room may have helped with this…but the feelings you get from a good dose of Vitamin D without any of the harmful UV rays are rather special!
Hydrotherapy hot tub (out on the roof, overlooking some very fancy cars racing around - all feels very Montecarlo)
Meditation room with gently heated waterbeds - (our favourite room by far, renamed the nap room by us! Think a warm cocoon where you can have a sleep in the calmest, most soothing place imaginable)
sauna and steam rooms (as they sound!)
Eleven treatment rooms (we had a massage and a mini facial respectively - more on that below)
Pedicure room, with pedi-spa chairs, overlooking the Mercedes-Benz World track (that’s one for next time)
Cafe serving drinks, light meals, and afternoon teas (the scones were amazing, particularly with an option to add lemon curd instead of jam - one of my weaknesses is a good curd…)
THE SPA
The spa itself is within the fabulous and bustling Brooklands Hotel, but feels like a quiet, cosy nest. At first Megan and I were unsure about a spa without a pool, but as we both admitted, we tend to just use the pool to cool off after a steam or sauna! Instead we would sit outside on the rooftop terrace, snug with a blanket, enjoying the breeze on our freshly buffed and plumped skin.
DAY OUT
Megan and I went to the spa from 10.00am-3.00pm, with the sole intention of nattering (there was a secondary thought that napping would also be excellent). BSpa is the perfect place to go with a girlfriend: there’s plenty of space to find a pair of loungers to natter away, with a delicious latte or cup of tea (or something stronger!)
We started in the hot tub - we loved the contrast of the cool of the roof terrace against the hot bubbles of the tub. After that we lounged with coffee and tea respectively, reading some of the complimentary magazines before it was time for a session in the Sunlight Therapy Room (which you can book in 30 minute slots).
SUNLIGHT THERAPY ROOM
I will always be entirely honest with you, and initially Megan and I were a little sceptical about this room. Could a room in Weybridge really give us the endorphins and oxytocin that a day on a beach in the Bahamas would? Well, give us some sunglasses, some warm Vitamin D and a cocktail and it turned out it could! We giggled the most in this room and had our biggest catch-up. I’d love to come here with a group of girlfriends in the evening and have a cocktail and a sunbathe!
NAP TIME…
I’m afraid I really can’t show you the nap room, as it’s so dark and cosy. Imagine someone recreating the feeling of total support and nourishment you get in the womb, via heated waterbeds, luxury blankets, the softest pillows, gently changing lighting and complete quiet and you have the Mediation Room (or the NAP ROOM as I really hope they rename it…) this needs pre-booking and had we more time we definitely would have done so!
TREATMENT TIME
The mini-facial I had was one of the most luxurious and relaxing experiences I have ever had: I wasn’t aware of Caudalie products before this, but I adored the textures, scents and effects of all the products used on my skin. I also loved the skin mists, particularly the Beauty Elixir Mist.Megan reports that her masseuse found knots she didn’t know she had! Our only complaint was that we wished we had more time!
AFTERNOON TEA FOR TWO…
Some people eat to live. Others live to eat. I know that Megan and I are firmly in the latter category… afternoon tea was the perfect opportunity for us to have a proper natter, over sandwiches, scones, macaroons, choux pastry, millionaires shortbread, fairy cakes…
It’s this kind of ritual that makes a day like this so special, and we really enjoyed our tea before more time on our loungers with another cuppa!
Although this was a gifted day out, Megan and I have already put the next date in the diary for a half-day, £25 trip to the spa, for more chatting, napping, sunshine and eating!
Thanks so much to Ceri, Emily, Ali and all at BSpa at Brooklands Hotel, Weybridge.
